Fear is an emotional response to a known or definite threat. The danger is real, definite and immediate. There is a clear and present scenario to fear.
Stress and Anxiety are an abnormal sense of fear, nervousness, and apprehension about something that might happen in the future. It is often a response to an imprecise or unknown threat.
It comes from our mind’s vision of the possible dangers that may result in an imagined or real situation. The overwhelming problem with this situation is that it wears us down. We know we need to find a solution but as time goes on it gets more and more difficult.
Most stress and anxiety states are based on outdated or limiting beliefs, or a belief system that is not consistent with reality.
I believe it is life's traumas, no matter how big or small, that form our limiting beliefs that can inhibit our life in the present day.
I further believe that a succession of small traumas can be just as damaging as a single large trauma and that the earlier those traumas occurred,
the more significant they can be.
Our limiting beliefs can cause significant accumulated stress, which can eventually lead to chronic worry, together with psychological and physical illness. Using NLP and EFT techniques enables us to identify and resolve the limiting beliefs that may be inhibiting us from living a happy, fulfilled, peaceful life. It doesn’t matter whether our beliefs are right or wrong, what matters is whether they help or hinder us in our life.
They are usually produced as a result of an individual's earlier life experiences - usually childhood, which can be the result of one's actual experiences, the observation of others' life experiences, or even just hearing about a fearful event.
Once established, limiting beliefs are maintained. The presence of these beliefs has a direct influence on our well-being and current and future happiness.
